How can i get my ex back..i think i made a huge mistake?
I knew this guy for almost 3 years.We were best friends and class mates at the same university.He saw me going thru a lot of crying with the guy that I was dating for almost 4 yrs before him and I (the guy of almost 4 yrs) called it quits.Then the guyfriend and I started dating a bit later.Everything was okay but stress and other factors added so much that it made me unhappy at one pt.I went and told my best friend who is friends with him and I(mutual friends) that I had it in Feb of this year.She told me that she would have a talk with him plus he needed to return a book to her.I was texting my friend not to tell him that I was thinking abt. a break up when my cell goes off and it was my then bf now ex. He told me that he heard what happened and asked me if that is what I wanted.I said yes and so he said that he too believed that we are no longer happy etc but knowing his voice I knew he was shocked and hurt. I talked with my friend and she heard me cry then told me that it was what I wanted but I warned her that she should check her cell before b/c I sent her a text.After the break up I called and texted my ex and finally he wanted me to leave him alone.I said sure, then he told me that he cared and that we are still good friends.1 week after the break up I met up with him at my friend's to give him back a bracelet he gave me and this letter saying everything I could not.I thanked him for everything he has done for me. After that I had not seen him for almost 5-6 weeks until 2 weeks ago I went with a girl from this study group, her date and my guyfriend to a bar where I knew that my ex would probably be there but my friends invited us there. The situation was weird,my guyfriend told me that he was falling for me which is not what I was planning,he was making my ex jealous which was not my plan and then he kissed me on the cheek.The ex saw that and 10 min later he left. I do not understand his actions but I never meant to hurt him.I later found out that he went after my best friend which is the mutual friend in this whole drama and asked her how she feels abt. him which she does not feel the same way nor can she return the same feelings.I was crushed when I found that out 2 weeks ago and thought that it was stupid what he did.My best friend and I are still best friends.I really do love him and feel that I made a mistake breaking up with him or telling my friend that.I know he is mad at me but how can I tell him “I am sorry for causing you pain.Is there a chance that we can pick up where we left off?”
